Membership in the Dufferin Marsh Nature Connection keeps you engaged and active in your community with opportunities to volunteer, learn about nature and become a citizen scientist. Membership is perfect for high school students who are looking for accredited volunteer hours and for families wanting a local outdoor nature experience.
Your donations and fees help support the many community events of the Dufferin Marsh Nature Connection such as the Community Skate, Earth Hour Recognition, Clean Up Day, Frog Night Out, Butterflies and Dragon Flies Workshop, Bird Feeder Workshop and Bird Walks. They also support our on-going citizen science programs including frog monitoring, water quality monitoring, bird monitoring and Chimney Crayfish monitoring. From time to time we do special projects such as tree planting or creating interpretive signs. Your membership helps us build the recognition we need for grant applications to complete these projects.
Executive meetings are held every second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm at Grackle Coffee on Main Street Schomberg (except July, August and December) and any member is welcome to participate.
